Because of the wide variety of climates and cultures in the various countries, it is almost impossible to provide a "universal" packing list. Our general packing list includes most of the basics found useful in the past, and is meant to serve only as a guide. The AMIGOS Handbook and Volunteer Country Materials will provide more specific lists of what to bring, as this will vary depending on the climate of your project region.

The Houston Chapter has a supply of cots which can be rented at a cost of $25 plus a $50 refundable deposit.

A lightweight, well designed cot is available for on-line orders from K.O.T. Manufacturing.  Include the word "Amigo" in your name on the order to receive a $10 discount.  The discount is applied immediately to phone orders, and for internet orders is applied as a separate $10 refund transacted by the following day.
